Upptäck Tanzania och Zanzibar med safari och paradisstränder

We had a great 12 day trip to Tanzania and Zanzibar. The safari was fantastic and we were super happy with the excellent driver/guide Samuel Loto (a.k.a. Fundi) to drive us from Arusha around the Serengeti. Super friendly and knowledgeable and familiar with almost each nook and cranny in the park and got to see all the possible highlights. He seems to know almost all other safari drivers after 15 years in the job and the "BNN" (Bush News Network) worked well to get to see the rarer species (lion, cheetah, leopard, serval cat etc). As birders we were very lucky to have him as he knew each and every bird that we saw. He also carries birding guides in case he needs to check similar species. Accommodations varied with the more expensive one clearly the best (especially Ngare Sero Mountain lodge near Arusha and Manya Luxury Camp were both world class). You get what you pay for I guess and this company is not cheap. Tanzania specialist seems to be one of the biggest safari companies (looking at the large amount of their vehicles in the Serengeti) and they communicated well and can highly recommend them. Everything in the schedule with regard to accommodation, food boxes, schedule etc was perfectly organized. Was able to change flight (though had to ask them 3x) and driver departure time on the last day so we appreciated the flexibility. The company provides lots of information before the trip which is very helpful (though some key info & domestic flight tickets only came 1 day before our departure day, would be better to send this a little earlier..)

We have travelled for 9 days with Tanzania Specialist in September 2025. We have stayed 10/10 satisfied about our choice to travel with them and not with any other tourist company or travel agent. The company has indeed professionals in its team, from sales dept, up to drivers and service mechanics. The safari car we have used (plate number 893) was a very well-maintained car and we understood how important this was, as during our trip we saw many safari cars from other companies with mechanical or other problems. Our guide, Modest J. Mollel, was the best driver we could ever have. He was driving very carefully, we was very helpful, polite and experienced and we feel that we have made a new friend by meeting him. He did the extra-mile quite a lot of times to give us happiness and our mark for him is 11/10!! We are definitely recommending Modest to be your guide. Regarding the accommodation, everything was fantastic. The choice of hotels or tents exceeded our expectations. -Lake Manyara Best Lodge: 10/10, our first night could not be in a better place. Highly recommended for 1st night. Food was great, staff was great, view was amazing. -Dove Serengeti Camp: 10/10, staff 10/10, food 10/10. Highly recommended. In the Wind Camp: 11/10!!! At first we thought the facilities were not that great, but then we realized that the magic of this place is its location, its calmness, the animals just outside of our tent and the fact that you do not care at all about technology during your stay. You become one with the nature, you can relax 100/100 and both Alex the Manager and all the staff were unbelievable. For sure 11/10 for all of them. Staying there for 3 nights was a feeling which if someone does not stay there cannot understand. Food was excellent. -Angata Serengeti Camp: the night we stayed there was great, totally deserves 10/10. Both Glorian the Manager, and all the staff were very kind and helped us have a great stay there. Food was good. -The Retreat in NgoroNgoro: 10/10! They have done great work with their garden of the lodge, the villas are fantastic. The food and the staff get 10/10. The lunch box we have got was the best of all the places we have stayed. -Kahawa House in Arusha 9.5/10: it was much better than we thought it would be. Perfect location for our last night. Great choice. Food was very good, breakfast can become a little bit better. We have seen all Big-5. Our guide, Modest, has a “star” as he could get us to the right place, the right time. At the same time he respected 100/100 all of the animals and the rules of the parks and this made us feel very special. The animal’s Mara River crossing was a fantastic experience and is highly recommended. The hot air balloon with Miracle Experience is a must and worths all of its money. Especially our pilot, Cezar Perez, was an unbelievable guy with a great sense of humor, knowledge and he took care of us in the best possible way. 10/10. The 24/7 emergency person made us feel that there was always someone there to solve directly any of our problems. We know that this is not easy, but they are doing it very very well. 11/10!

If you are traveling to Tanzania, book with Tanzania Specialist. My husband and I requested a private tour that included 2 days in Zanzibar, 4 days in Gombe National Park doing chimpanzee treks with Mkanza, and an 8 day safari in the Serengeti. This required coordination of various domestic flights, working with MbaliMbali and Gombe Park staff, and Tanzania Specialist 's expert safari guide, Fadi, for our 8 days in the Serengeti. They provided us with the best experiences possible and saw to our every need. The accommodations throughout the trip were wonderful! Tanzania Specialist really is a five-star company.

We had a beautiful holiday in Tanzania, full 7 days safari, then Stonetown and Mafia. The organization was perfect as well as the advice given by Romane who dealt with it all. Easy, responsive and trustful. The accommodation was magnificent ! I recommend

We recently did an 8 day safari with Haji as our guide, who was absolutely fantastic, couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He was fun to be with, extremely knowledgeable about everything from animals and their habits to flora and fauna. He found the Big 5 for us, which we were so happy about and there were even more animals to come. Haji did not disappoint at all. Vi hade en fantastisk tid! Allt var mycket välorganiserat och gick perfekt under vår vistelse. Tack till Juliana för programmet och de lodger som erbjöds, till vår guide Shomvi för vår safari som gjorde att vi kunde se alla vilda djur! Och att avsluta vistelsen på Zanzibar är helt enkelt himmelskt! Att rekommendera utan att tveka.

Min man och jag hade precis en underbar 10 dagars safari och Zanzibar-upplevelse med Tanzania-specialister och kunde inte vara nöjdare med tjänsten! Kommunikationen via e-post var stabil under den långa research/bokningsprocessen (med Victoria). Sedan hade vi enkel och regelbunden kommunikation via What's App med Riziki under hela vår resa, vilket var väldigt smidigt. Du slutar med en hel del olika förare/personer (för flygplatstransfer, etc.) och allt gick bra. Till sist, och viktigast av allt, var en fantastisk safariförare, Akbar! Han var en 35-årig veteran av att köra safari och var så mycket kunnig om terrängen, djurlivet och vart man ska åka/när man ska se de bästa sakerna. Vi såg de fem stora (noshörningarna var tuffa och vi kunde bara få en glimt av toppen av dem men vi räknar det!). Lejonen, elefanterna, cape buffalo, giraff, gnu, leopard, cheetah, sååå fantastiskt att se och se PÅ NÄRA! Vi uppskattar verkligen hur uppmärksam, säker och kunnig han var eftersom din förare verkligen kan göra eller bryta din resa. Skulle starkt rekommendera den här organisationen eftersom den är ganska stor (många lastbilar/chaufförer) med mycket resurser bakom sig så om något händer vet du att du kommer att ha folk där för att hjälpa till på nolltid. Orterna var också ganska underbara, speciellt glampingtältet mitt i Serengetti!! Wow! Tack så mycket!

Jag är så glad att jag gick med magen och bokade med Tanzania Specialist!! De är mycket uppmärksamma och om det uppstår problem finns de där om det är något fel eller om du behöver förtydligande om något i din resplan! Vår guide Emanuel var absolut AMAZZZZINNNGGGGG!!!! Du kan definitivt säga att han är stolt över sitt jobb och han var så trevlig och söt mot oss och såg till att vi hade allt vi behövde!!! Han var som vår pappa hemifrån!!! Ärligt talat är detta den bästa upplevelsen du någonsin kommer att ha!! Jag skulle 100% boka med dem igen!!! För de som undrar gjorde vi 10 dagars halvsafari halva Zanzibar! De organiserade allt så vackert. Detta gjorde det också möjligt för oss att få vänner som också hade samma företag, vi skulle ses genom safariaktiviteter etc, bra sätt att träffa nya människor också!! För dem som vill resa ensam är detta definitivt ett bra företag att åka med också!! Tro mig de är proffs!!

En otrolig upplevelse! Vi var ett gäng på fem vänner och de lyckades skapa en skräddarsydd resa som alla älskade och till ett mer än rimligt pris. Vår guide och chaufför, David, talade relativt bra spanska och var otrolig. Han gjorde en enorm ansträngning för att säkerställa att vi såg alla djuren (i själva verket såg vi redan Big 5 den första dagen). Han visste hur man skulle placera bilen för att ge oss den bästa vinkeln för att se dem och ta bilder. Hans körning, både under safarin och på vägen, var utmärkt. Varje dag träffade vi honom vid en tidpunkt som passade oss, beroende på våra behov. Bilen var bekväm. Den hade uttag för laddning av våra telefoner, och det fanns alltid kallt vatten tillgängligt. På eftermiddagarna städade vår chaufför hela bilen invändigt och utvändigt så att vi skulle ha det så bekvämt som möjligt nästa dag. Vi gillade också verkligen boendet. De var alla trevliga, välplacerade och serverade god mat.

Perfekt organiserat reseäventyr tack vare Tanzania Specialist. Allt var väl överenskommet i förväg, inga överraskningar. Bra stugor där vi bodde. Vid ankomsten var föraren/guiden Julius redo att ta oss till Ahadi lodge hotel. Första dagen hade vi en vilodag men vi åkte också iväg en halv dag till Arusha, vikarieföraren Alex visade oss inga höjdpunkter i staden. Förutom marknaden togs vi från en butik till en annan, lite av en besvikelse eftersom vi hatar shopping. Dagen efter tog vår ordinarie chaufför/guide Julius, en lugn, kompetent man, oss till Mount Meru för ett besök vid vattenfallen, fantastiskt. Logen som Tanzania Specialist valde var tillfredsställande. God mat, god matlåda. En pool, vänlig personal. Dag tre Arusha Park, såg många apor och andra djur. Sen en avkopplande dag. Dag fem, besök i Tangeria Park, vacker grön park, såg en stor grupp elefanter, och tillbringade sedan natten i Manyara, bästa utsiktshotellet, vilken njutning. Sedan tre dagar i Serengeti lyckades vår guide Julius upptäcka många djur och berättade mycket om dem. Det fanns tillräckligt med vatten under åkarna i fyra x fyra. Vi hörde också mycket om Tanzania och dess invånare. Seonas lyxlägret var en fantastisk upplevelse. Vi saknade ingenting, det fanns en chef som gjorde sitt allra bästa. Dag 10 letade vi efter den svarta noshörningen i kratern och hittade honom. Ännu en övernattning på lyxhotellet. Allt gick bra under resan som vi hade kommit överens med Tanzania Specialisten. De hade också ordnat flyget till Tanzania åt oss. Den elfte dagen togs vi till flygplatsen och åkte till Zanzibar för att koppla av på ett bra hotell. Tanzania Specialisten hade ordnat ett hotell åt oss efter våra önskemål, transport dit och tillbaka ordnades också. Efter fem dagar blev vi hämtade igen och åkte till Nederländerna. Kort sagt, Tanzania Specialisten är en bra pålitlig organisation som har organiserat allt väl enligt våra önskemål. En expertvänlig guide Julius. Dit vi kanske skulle vilja åka på safari igen i framtiden
